These are not the only masks we wear 🎭 .

Note: We should still be wearing masks. I love you! But no matter how hot and humid it is, in order to protect each other, please do continue to wear face masks / coverings, and breathe deeply and slowly through your masks (and without them at home).

And those other kinds. Remember when the type of face masks you might put on with your friends were more commonly the clay / sheet / fruit enzyme skincare kinds? Or maybe even Papier-mâché? Lol .

Recently re-reading my posts, I realized I tend to come off as centered or maybe even positive. .

I intent to post from a centered or anchored perspective in hopes not to dump 🗑 on y’all - and instead offer support and/or inspiration to you, my community.

I try to keep it real - and share what inspires me! but I realize that this “seat of teacher” voice has its dangers + downfalls.

I get to think and revise before I post. .

Captions can’t contain our complexity. We might write about our epiphanies ~ but not the gritty details of our fuck-ups or crucial conversations w/ confidantes.

If you know me, you know my thirst trap is a stunning mental health awareness post. .

It is currently mental health awareness month. .

But as your friend - whether we know each other irl or otherwise - I vow to always continue to: be vulnerable as best I can.

In ways that are real AND responsible.

I promise to always try my best and continue to learn more and do better. For me, that requires support from therapists, friends, mentors.

That is the way I can continue to promise to lead trauma-informed classes + hold space for people. .

Some days, I do it for me. Some days it’s because connecting with YOU - yes you, if you’re reading this long ass caption, definitely YOU - is my favorite thing to do.

I promise to do the work and take care of myself if you do. Even and especially when hurdles are high and cash flow is low. Even when it’s the least convenient thing to do.
